Crack Repair

Cracking in concrete is common place and can vary from small, surface located, hairline cracking to full depth, structural cracks. Proper diagnosis of different types of cracking is important to be able to treat the crack to minimise the chances of reopening.

Fairview Solutions are experienced in diagnosing the crack type and can specify the most appropriate method for repairing the crack including, epoxy pressure injections, gravity feeding, crack stitching and movement joints.

Polyurethane injection

Cracking in concrete can sometimes allow moisture to travel through the crack and damage the adjacent areas. The extent of moisture may be a slight drip to a full torrent. This may call for a polyurethane grout to be injected into the wet crack, which results in stopping the moisture travel, sealing the crack and protecting the embedded reinforcement from damage by moisture.

Joint sealing

Joints are a vital component of any concrete structure in that they allow the structure to move during thermal cycles without damaging the concrete and embedded reinforcement. The joints are installed to work in joints between dissimilar surfaces (ie, concrete and pipes)

Joint materials can range from foot trafficable, light duty applications to industrial, heavy duty applications, capable of withstanding harsh chemical attack and massive impact loads from heavy machinery to façade sealing of structures, protecting the interiors from moisture ingress.

Fairview Solutions can assist with joint sealing requirements, which allow for fast return to service and durable, long lasting solutions.
